In the lower margin of a manuscript from c 1320-30 of the Sermons ('Sermones in Soccis') by Abbot Konrad von Brundelsheim of Heilsbronn (abbot 1303-6 and again 1317-21) and known as 'Soccus', there is a miniature of a lady dressed in pink and green and with her hands clasped in prayer with a scroll rising from them with the inscription ' Pray for me, blessed Bernard'. She kneels before the figure of Bernard, nimbed and in a bluish grey cowl with a crozier in his right hand and a red book in his left. Above his blue halo is the inscription 'S.Bernhardus'. On the right is a green dragon with filigree decoration emanating from its mouth. The Sermons relate to general Cistercian and Bernardine spirituality and were later printed in Strasbourg.
