Description:
1505/32. Bernard is here seen preaching from a pulpit to the people of Cologne. He turns to two noblemen on the left behind whom is a large group of nuns. A large crowd on the left are listening to him, the front row occupied by a number of handicapped. He is said to have performed many miracles of healing during his stay in Cologne. His scroll reads: 'Vigilate, state in fide, viriliter agite et confortamini, omnia vestra in charitate fiant' (Be vigilant, firm in your faith, act courageously and with confidence, for all that you do must be with love).
