Description:
1505/32. Strictly speaking this does not belong to the iconography of Bernard as he is only depicted by his footprint, but it is included as it forms part of this most extensive of all Bernard cycles. A blind man is healed when he kneels down to kiss the footprint in the dust. The scroll has him saying: 'Obsecro vos per misericordiam Dei, ducite me ad locum illum, in quo Hominem Dei stetisse' (I beg you by the mercy of God to lead me to the place where you know that the man of God has stood').
