Description:
1505/32. The scene tells the story of the monk who did not believe in the Real Presence as told in the 'Exordium Magnum'. He is shown on the left brought before Bernard, his statement of lack of faith in words above him. Instead of condemning him Bernard ordered him, as indicated on his scroll, in the name of obedience to receive the Sacrament on Bernard's own faith. On the right the monk is seen receiving Communion from Bernard.
