1505/32. Illustrates the story of Bernard's mother's dream. She seemed to have a dog within her, white but with redish spots on the back. Aleth is shown asleep in a bed on the left with a small dog at the foot of the bed. Being alarmed at the prospect she consulted a religious man who comforted he. She is shown kneeling on the right before an old man whose words in the 'Vita Prima' appear on the scroll emanating from his mouth:: 'Fear not, you shall be the mother of an excellent dog', and he will be the guardian of the Faith, an outstanding preacher and, like a good dog, his tongue will heal many of numerous diseases of the soul, and Bernard's mother was greatly relieved to hear this.
