Description:
South German copper engraving dated c 1520. The smaller figure of Christ, his arms detached from the Cross, reaches down to embrace the kneeling figure of Bernard. The top of the Cross has the inscription 'INRI'. The scene is a landscape with a church on the left. A mitre lies on the ground at the foot of the Cross.
