Most of the 42 illustrations in the fourth edition of the 'Hortulus animae' printed in 1514 in Mainz by Johann Schoeffer are copies of works by Schongauer, Duerer, and Cranach. The one of Bernard is a Lacatation scene with Bernard kneeling on a tiled floor before the half figure of the Virgin carrying the Child and seen through a window. She bares her breast and sends a jet of milk to Bernard. Behind Bernard are buildings and a tower. Bernard's mitre lies on the floor. Very similar in composition to EN66 and EN06.
