Description:
Christ detaches his arms from the cross and places them on Bernard's shoulers. Bernard has his hands on Christ's chest. Below the cross is a mitre above the arms of Clairvaux, and behind Bernard is his crozier. As is usual Barnard is larger in scale then Christ. The composition is similar to many other Amplexus representations.
