Description:
A full-page coloured woodcut illustrating a pseudo-Bernard work printed in Antwerp 8 October 1491 by G Leeu. A crowned Virgin with naked Child sits on a raised throne under a canopy on the left. She bares her breast which she presses with her left hand sending a jet of milk to a kneeling Bernard, who is kneeling and is looking up at her. He has his hands clasped and a crozier under his left arm. His words ' Monstra te esse matrem' are on a scroll. The border is decorated with flowers and a rabbit.
