Description:
In a landscape with trees and a wattle fence in the foreground Bernard kneels, with hands raised and his crozier leaning on his left shoulder, before a larger scale Virgin and Child. The Virgin squeezes her bared breast with her left hand sending a jet of milk towards Bernard. The scroll above Bernard has 'Monstra te esse matrem'. At Bernard's feet are the arms of
Clairvaux.
