Description:
Design for a glass window dated c 1524 with the Angel appearing to Joachim. Joachim kneels in a field among sheep and raises his arms at a vision of the angel. Below the donors are shown with their patron saints, an abbot with St Peter and a layman with St Jerome. The topmost segment of the window has a Lactation scene with Bernard kneeling before the Virgin. Drawn in a Renaissance style with obvious dependence on the work of Dirk Vellert (see EN47).
